Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced the board exam dates for HSC and SSC Exams 2022.

The exams for Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) and Secondary School Certificate (Class 10) will be held between March and April 2022 in an offline format, she informed.

For HSC, the oral exams will be conducted from Feb 14 to March 03, whereas the written papers will be held from March 04 to April 07, 2022.

For SSC, the oral exams will be held from Feb 24 to March 14, and written exams will be conducted from March 15 and April 18, 2022, according to the dept's statement.

A senior official informed that the announcement of the board exam schedule has been delayed by 02 weeks to grant more time to schools to complete the curriculum.

The officials also informed that the number of students in any particular class will be halved as compared to the earlier numbers to maintain the social distancing norms. The Education Dept has also increased the exam centre numbers.

Earlier in July, Gaikwad also announced to reduce HSC and SSC syllabus by 25% for the current session to lessen the academic burden.
