A 24-year old from Salem city, Tamil Nadu, A Essakiraj has topped the final examination in his first attempt for the Chartered Accountant conducted in November 2020. He has scored 553 out of 800 marks scoring the first rank at the all India level.

Essakiraj, also a class topper in Class 10 and Class 12, said, "I was expecting good marks but not first rank in the national level. I had scored 474 out of 500 in Class 10 and 1171 out of 1200 in Class 12 board examination"

It's his hard work that has been paid off as he further informed that he used to study for about 12 hours a day.

M Arumugam, Essakiraj's father, works in a private company whereas his mother A Gomathi is a housewife. Essakiraj, thanking his father, further added that his father motivated him to study CA when he was studying Class 10. His father also guided him to study hard to clear the CA examination.
