The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has revised the exam pattern of the Class 09 final exams. According to the new pattern, 30% of the theory questions i.e. 20 questions out of the total 70, will be asked in MCQ (Multiple-choice questions) format.

A sample OMR sheet has also been released by the Board for reference. Interested candidates can check the official notice at upmsp.edu.in.

The remaining 70% i.e. 50 questions will be asked in the descriptive format. This section will also include questions based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills).

During the exams, the Board will provide separate answer sheets to the students to answer the descriptive questions.

This exam pattern will be followed in both annual and half-yearly exams for class 09. The theory exam of half-yearly will be of 70 marks i.e. 20 MCQs + 50 Descriptive. The same pattern will be conducted for the annual exam.

For Internal Assessment, a total of 30 marks will be allotted. The final result will be announced on the basis of the total marks secured out of 170 (70+70+30).

According to the notice, the half-yearly practical examination will be held in the 2nd week of November and the theory exams will commence in the 3rd week of November.
