The UPPSC (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission) has started conducting the Mains Examination 2020 for Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services, also known as PCS - 2020, from Jan 21, 2021, to Jan 25, 2021, in Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Ghaziabad.

The exam is being conducted for recruitment on 487 posts and around 5,139 candidates have registered for the exam which will be conducted across 12 centers of the aforementioned cities. Jagdish, UPPSC Secretary, said, "2,084 candidates will appear in the exam at five centers in Prayagraj, 1,755 will appear at four centers in Lucknow and another 1300 will appear at three centers in Ghaziabad".

The Mains exam will be conducted in two shifts: Morning (From 09:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (From 02 pm to 05 pm).

The PCS Prelim Exam was conducted on Oct 11, 2020, and the results were declared on Nov 21, 2021. But, due to some official reason, the revised result were released on Nov 27, 2021.
