The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education informed that the Class 12 board exams for students would be conducted at their respective schools in June. The decision was taken due to the COVID-19 situation across the state.

The President of the Council Mahua Das, in her statement, said that the exams will be conducted on the scheduled dates but during the 2nd half of the day. She added the examinations will be conducted in their respective educational institutes from 12 noon to 3:15 pm.

She further informed that the Class 11 annual exams have been suspended for the 2021 year.

Das also informed that the council will be observing the COVID-19 situation closely and all its decisions would depend on the evolving circumstances.

For Class 11 students, schools have been advised to teach reduced portions of the syllabus in the next 03 months to prepare them for board exams next year. The Higher Secondary Exams are scheduled to start on June 15 and continue till July 02, 2021.
