12 Jamia Millia Islamia Research Scholars Rewarded Prime Minister Research Fellowship
Professor Abdul Quaiyum Ansari said that each research scholar would get a fellowship of Rs 70,000 for the first two years, Rs 75,000 for the third year, and Rs 80,000 for the fourth and fifth years, respectively.

Twelve researchers from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have been chosen for the (PMFI) Prime Minister Research Fellowship under the Lateral Entry Scheme of the May 2022 drive. Last year, six research scholars were chosen for the PMRF under the Lateral Scheme of the December 2020 drive.
Here's the list of names of research scholars, their recommender, and department or centres that were chosen for PMRF under the Lateral Entry Scheme of the May 2022 drive are:

Vice Chancellor Jamia Millia Ismalmia Professor Najma Akhtar congratulated PMRF coordinator and JMI Professor Abdul Quaiyum Ansari and lauded his efforts for the achievement.
While giving her best wishes to the successful candidates, Najma Akhtar stated that JMI stands for excellence and strives hard to offer its students every possible help to accomplish great heights. This performance mirrors the university's focus on high-quality research, and I am happy that six out of the twelve students are girls. I hope it will encourage students, particularly female university students, to do well in science & engineering research.
Professor Abdul Quaiyum Ansari said that each research scholar would get a fellowship of Rs 70,000 for the first two years, Rs 75,000 for the third year, and Rs 80,000 for the fourth and fifth years, respectively. Each scholar would get a research grant of Rs 2 lakh per year- a total of Rs 10 lakhs for five years under the Prime Minister Research Fellowship.
