To the local students' relief, the Jammu & Kashmir Govt. has recently restored the 4G internet services in the region and now they won't have to suffer buffering to open websites/ links. The services have been restored after a long duration of 18 months.
The slow internet speed had put a halt on the lives of the locals, as notified by one of the medical students, and the online education couldn't be accessed as the virtual classes were dispersed with ceaseless glitches.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, medical students across the nation used online lab simulation platforms and software but J&K students were deprived of any practical education and training.
Saima, also an alumnus of the University of Kashmir, said, "While the whole world shifted to online education, we only had access to 2G nad even that was snapped 2-3 times a week". She further added, "With 4G restoration, the speed has improved and those who did not have a broadband connection are relieved. But we used to internet suspension and we really cannot trust the condiction to be normal, it could be snapped anytime, during a class or an examination".
This news has also brought a huge sigh of relief for the students who are preparing for the various programmes and competitive exams.
