Haryana's recent policy initiative marks a significant step toward supporting female students. The state government has unveiled a program offering cost-free college education for young women belonging to families with an annual income below Rs 1,80,000. Additionally, for female students whose family incomes range between Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 3 lakh annually, the government will subsidize 50% of their college fees. This initiative encompasses both government and private colleges across Haryana.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar took to X (formerly Twitter) to share this remarkable update, highlighting the government's dedication to enhancing educational accessibility. He announced that eligible daughters from families meeting the income criteria would receive complete financial support for their college education, with the government covering all their college fees.

Furthermore, in a move to aid female students from families earning between Rs 1,80,000 and Rs 3,00,000 annually, the government will sponsor half of their college fees, regardless of whether they attend a private or government institution.

This new policy builds upon the state government's earlier efforts in 2021 when Chief Minister Khattar introduced tuition-free education for individuals with a verified family income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh per annum. This latest initiative underscores the government's unwavering commitment to ensuring high-quality education and promoting equal opportunities for all aspiring learners in Haryana.
