An 18-year-old Indian Boy Gets Scholarship at US University of Rs 1.3cr
Vedant Anandwade, an 18-year-old boy from Hyderabad, got a scholarship of Rs 1.3 for graduation from pre-med in Neuroscience and Psychology from the Case Western Reserve University in the United States. Case Western has generated 17 Nobel laureates till now.

Vedant Anandwade, an 18-year-old boy from Hyderabad, got a scholarship of Rs 1.3 for graduation from pre-med in Neuroscience and Psychology from the Case Western Reserve University in the United States. Case Western has generated 17 Nobel laureates till now. Vedant took part in a climate competition challenge for which he would now be heading to Prais in November and pitching solutions to the jury at UNESCO. The 18-year-old boy aims to go abroad and pursue his studies.



He started his journey when he was in 8th grade. Vedant stated that from grade 8th, he wanted to go abroad and pursue studies. He liked the Biology subject. After passing 10th grade, when COVID-19 began, his mother introduced him to Dexterity global. At that time, he and his family were searching for institutes and counselors who would help him to get to the colleges he wanted. At the age of 16, he registered for a career development program. The program continued for three months and was the prime factor he got into Case Western Reserve University. The university produced 17 Nobel laureates. So he will be pursuing neuroscience.



Vedant also said that the tasks given in school increased his confidence. In dex school, every week, students had to complete a few assignments, which boosted their confidence and independence. They also performed monthly tasks where they had to select opportunities and competitions quizzes to participate. He added that recently his team from Dexterity won the climate competition challenge.



While talking, he encouraged other children and suggested they should focus on extracurricular activities besides concentrating on academics. He said students should not focus mainly on academics, which is a crucial part of education. But apart from that, extracurriculars and strengths are what the colleges see. He suggested that students should also build an overall resume of themselves that includes extracurriculars, strengths, and weaknesses. He further said that he aims to become a surgeon.



His mother, Vijaya Lakshmi, felt proud that her son would pursue his passion. His mother stated that Vedant wanted to be a multitasking kid who did everything since childhood. He wanted to play music and study. Now he got a golden opportunity to do everything. Vijaya Lakshmi added that he will pursue his passion with other things and got a good scholarship of Rs 1.3 cr, which is not a full waiver but still a good amount of scholarship. He got the scholarship because of his outstanding resume, which he built very strong after joining Dexterity. It gave him a good platform for what he has achieved today. She further said that every child is born with something unique, and the parents need to find out what it is. Let the child be free. Let his things come out.
