The State Health Department has informed that the inoculation of students who will be taking board exams will be completed before Jan 26. The Health Department has already issued a notice to all District Magistrates and civil surgeons to constitute a task force for the vaccination of the board students of 15 years to 18 years of age group on a priority basis.
The Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Dept Pratyay Amrit informed that the aim of the govt is to inoculate students of 15 years to 18 years of age group before Jan 26 for the health safety of students, as a large number of students will be participating in the upcoming state board and other education board exams.
The District Magistrates have also been asked to constitute district-level and block-level task forces to complete the task. He added, "Such schools which will achieve cent percent vaccination during the special drive will be feted on the occasion of Republic Day".
According to the sources, approx 32 lakh students have registered for Class 12 and Class 10 Board Exams which will be conducted by different education boards, out of which over 29 lakh students have registered for the state board exams.
The BSEB will conduct the Class 12 Exam from Feb 1 to Feb 14 and the Class 10 Exam from Feb 17 to Feb 24.
The Govt has set up vaccination camps at different private and government schools to jab eligible school students.
