The Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) has taken the decision to promote the students from Class 10 on the basis of their internal assessment marks. The Govt. cancelled the board exams due to the spike in COVID-19 cases.
The BSEH has taken the decision to follow the CBSE's educational criteria to promote the students on internal assessments. The Board has also informed all the affiliated schools regarding the promotion policy.
As notified by the board officials, the class 10 students attempted the internal assignments and tests in Dec 2020 when schools were reopened. These internal marks along with the marks of practical exams which were conducted before the lockdown will be calculated.
They further added that the board is following the same pattern as CBSE. The Board also notified that the open school exams have also been cancelled.
However, the decision regarding the class 12 board exams is yet to be taken. The announcement regarding this will be made on June 01. "Students will be informed around 02 weeks in advance to avoid any confusion," notified the official.
In Haryana, the exams for secondary classes were scheduled to be held from April 20.
