The CBSE and CISCE Term-1 Board Exams are scheduled to commence from tomorrow i.e. Nov. 16. But, the students are demanding to conduct the board exams in hybrid mode giving an option to students to choose the online or offline mode.

A plea in this regard has also been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions for the conduct of Term-1 board exams as both the boards will conduct the Term 1 exams in offline mode. The Supreme Court will hear the plea today.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will commence the board exams from Nov 16, and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations will commence the exams from Nov 22.

The plea, filed by Advocate Sumanth Nookala has filed a plea demanding the exams to be held in hybrid mode with a choice to students to opt between online and offline examination. The plea states, "Consent assumes significance as exams directly relate to the mental health of the petitioners requiring a conducive and voluntary atmosphere to ensure a fair assessment".

#CBSETerm1online and #cbseterm1hybrid are also trending on social media platforms, however, no response has been shown by the Board. Some students have also mentioned that the exams should be conducted in hybrid mode since they have not received the vaccine also.

In the meantime, the Delhi govt has directed schools to remain shut till Nov 20 due to the severe pollution in the state, but, the CBSE has informed that the board exams will be conducted as per schedule.
