The cancellation plea regarding the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 is to be heard today by the Supreme Court.

The bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar of the Supreme Court will look into the petition seeking cancellation of Class 12 board exams due to the prevalent pandemic condition.

Supreme Court Advocate Mamta Sharma has filed the plea asking for directions to the Centre, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to cancel the Class 12 examinations. In the plea, Advocate Sharma is requesting the Supreme Court to order the authorities which conduct these national exams to release Class 12 results on the basis of objective methodology within the stipulated time.

Around 7000 parents have also proceeded to the SC seeking cancellation of the Board exams amid this COVID pandemic.

However, the decision regarding the conduction of the CBSE Class 12 exams will be announced on June 1, as notified by the Govt.
