The Central Board of Secondary Education has launched an 'Adolescent Peer Educators Leadership' programme. The Board has launched the programme in life skills, holistic health and wellbeing.



The programme will improve resilience, self-esteem, mental well-being, communication skills, social sensitivity, enhanced ability, and set goals to lead a socially productive life.



For the initial phase of this online orientation programme, over 2,600 CBSE-affiliated schools across the country are enrolled.



The ongoing training programme conducts 8-hour training sessions for 4 days and is divided into batches. The training is being provided to two school counsellors/ nodal teachers/ wellness teachers and 4 peer educators on 4 modules and 8 themes such as building resilience, hygiene, nutrition, family bonding, the impact of the digital world, dealing with emotions, and effective career choices.



The themes will evolve as per the received suggestions from peer educators.



On the CBSE official website, a dedicated web page shall carry practical tips, advisory, videos, posters, FAQs, and an online interactive platform for various aspects of mental health, life skills, and wellbeing.



The Board will also include Orientation modules to further serve as an Interactive Chat-Line Platform for guidance, contact, and life skills.
