The Central Board of Secondary Education will be using Advanced Data Analytics to ensure the exams' fairness. Through the system, the Board will identify the exam centres with the high possibility of unfair means.

The Director (IT) of CBSE Antriksh Johri informed that the aim is to conduct the examinations in a standardized and fair manner. The Board is making the efforts such as monitoring by flying squads and external observers and use of CCTVs to ensure fair means.

The Board has already done the pilot analysis on Central Teacher Eligibility Test (Jan) 2021 in collaboration with Pleypower Labs and Central Square Foundation to develop algorithms. Through the analysis, the identification of suspicious data patterns at the centre and the level of the individual test-taker was done.

On the basis of the analysis results, the Board has taken the decision to extend this analysis to other administered exams, added Johri. The CBSE will use the analytics to detect, respond, and prevent any irregularities during any CBSE administered exams, he further added.

Johri further said that this system can be used to strengthen the reliability of NAS (National Achievement Survey), CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test), and board exams conducted by CBSE.
