The Chhattisgarh Govt has taken the decision to pay for education for all the children who lost their parents/ guardians due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The release informs that the Chhattisgarh Government has taken a decision to combat the pandemic. The Chhattisgarh Government has ensured that they stand with the children who have been stripped of everything due to the corona. The Govt will bear the responsibility of their education and will help them in shaping their future.

This initiative will be implemented under the 'Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dular' Scheme from this financial year, informed the release.

The Govt will sponsor the entire expenses of the education of these children during this financial year. Along with this, a scholarship of Rs. 500/ month will also be provided to the children studying from 1st standard to 8th standard and Rs. 1000/ month for students from 9th standard to 12th standard. The scheme will cover all the children for the scholarship.

The state government will also pay for the education of the children whose family's main earning member has passed due to the Corona.

The govt also announced that if any of these children decided to enroll for the Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools, then no fee will be charged from them and they will be given priority.
