Cisco has partnered with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime to offer 20,000 virtual inetrnship opportunities in cybersecurity. The programme is an extension of the Networking Academy programme of Cisco and is scheduled to be launched in two phases.

In the first phase, 20,000 virtual internships will be granted and in second phase, internship opportunities will include new skills, as notified by the NASSCOM.

The candidates who wish to qualify for the internship are required to undertake a program of Cisco Networking Academy for which the learning content will be provided by the Cisco's NetAcad platform or the FutureSkills Prime platform of the NASSCOM. The NASSCOM's FutureSkills Prime platform is a joint initiative by the IT Industry led by NASSCOM and Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

After completing the programme, the Cisco NetAcad partners will evaluate the candidates a digital certificate will be provided to the eligible candidates.

Cisco President of India and SAARC Sameer Garde said, "This partnership with NASSCOM and AICTE is a step towards realigning the existing talent with emerging technologies, enabling better job opportunities, and ultimately transforming India into a Digital Talent Nation" whereas the CEO of IT-ITES Sector Skill Council of India, NASSCOM, Amit Aggarwal said that the aim of the internships is to offer golden opportunities to upgarde and reskill with pertinent comtencies and experience in upcoming technologies.

This internship program will grant students the opportunity to access a world of enhanced skills and contribute to the digital expertise tool of the country.
