The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) will begin on May 21. The college admissions exam will take place from May 21 to May 31. In directing the staging of CUET UG 2023, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked educational institutions to work with the commission and the National Testing Agency (NTA). Furthermore, the NTA has set aside June 1-7 for CUET UG.
The commission stated in a statement that "CUET is an online computer-based test (CBT) for enrollment to colleges and universities."All educational associates, academic institutions, colleges, and university colleges are urged to assist the UGC and NTA in fulfilling their national responsibilities."
So far, over 200 universities chose the CUET UG 2023 for admission to undergraduate programs, an increase from 90 universities last year. Among the 206 universities are the Cluster University of Jammu, Cotton University Guwahati Assam, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Dr. B R Ambedkar School of Economics Karnataka. The CUET UG has emerged as the country's second-largest entrance test, with 14.9 lakh registrations last year, overtaking the JEE Main's average certification of nine lacks.
However, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) stated that it prefers CUET for admission to articling student programs to remain an option for the country's colleges and universities. CUET hasn't yet been made mandatory, according to AIU Undersecretary Pankaj Mittal, and thus the AIU's position is that it should remain voluntary for universities or colleges willing to adopt the new system.
