The Delhi government will commence a spoken English programme at fifty centres across the city, announced the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal. CM Kejriwal, while addressing the press conference, informed that any interested candid who has completed Class 12 can apply for the programme.
He also added that the age limit to apply for the programme is 18-35 years. The candidates who wish to apply for the programme must also have basic understanding of English.
In Phase-I, the admission for training to improve the English Communication skills will be provided to 01 lakh candidates.
He further added, "We will start this course at 50 centres where 1 lakh people will be enrolled. This course will help them in getting jobs and developing their personality".
He also informed that the training will be imparted free of cost as there is no fees but, initially, the amount of Rs. 950 will be asked to deposit as security money which will be refunded after successful completion (with full attendance) of the training.
The duration of the programme will be a 3-4 months course. For working candidates, the options of weekend and evening shifts will also be available.
The Delhi Skill Entrepreneurship University of the Govt will run this international standard programme and the Cambridge University will assess it.
