The Commissioner of Delhi Police Rakesh Asthana has launched an e-Learning platform. The platform has been launched to support educating youths and to impart skill training to school dropouts from the society's disadvantaged sections.



This initiative has been launched by the southwest district of the police force, notified the officials.



Asthana launched the e-learning platform 'Unnati' at the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) Auditorium under the flagship scheme of the Delhi Police 'YUVA'.



Under the 'YUVA', the aim is to help school dropouts and youth from the disadvantaged sections to get an education and acquire skills to recognize their passion and dream of a secure and better future.



The officials also added that these youngsters, through this e-learning platform, will be encouraged to enlist and select the programme of their choice.



The 'Unnati' portal comprise of a very simple design that can be accessed by anyone who wishes to learn from anywhere. The portal is accessible through a laptop, tablet, desktop, and mobile phone.



The platform will also provide training, counselling and placements to the candidates. There is also an option of accessing the recordings of live sessions online if someone misses a class.



Delhi Police PRO Chinmoy Biswal also informed that a certificate will be awarded on the successful completion of the course to the students.



The offered courses include digital literacy courses comprising basic computer courses and typing training, sports courses, and preparation courses for competitive exams, among others.
