Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister, reviewed the Education Ministry's initiatives related to Digital Education today. He was briefed by the senior officials of the Ministry about several initiatives launched by the Ministry in recent years like PM e-Vidya, Swayam, NDEAR (National Digital Education Architecture), among others.

The meeting was also attended by Annpurna Devi, Minister of State; Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State; and Dr Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State.

Pradhan also highlighted the importance of leveraging technology in education. To achieve the goals of an open, accessible and inclusive education, technology would be beneficial, he added.

Pradhan further said, "A vibrant digital ecosystem in education will expand learning opportunities for the students, spur innovation and entrepreneurship in the Education sector".

The Minister recognized the mandatory shift of the education towards digital medium in the COVID-19 situation. He also assured to strengthen and institutionalize the digital initiatives taken by the Ministry.
