The Union Ministry of Education and the Department of School Education and Literacy have released the list of the National Teachers Awards 2021. A total of 44 teachers have been selected for the Awards.

President Ram Nath Kovind will honour the selected meritorious teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

Among the selected teachers are two each from Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Telangana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

Two teachers CBSE schools have also been shortlisted in which one is from Delhi's Bal Bharati Public School Dwarka and one from Rajasthan's Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Jhunjhunu.

One teacher from Eklavya Model Residential School, Karpawand, Bastar, Chhattisgarh has also made it to the recipients' list of the Award.

Every year, the award is granted to publicly recognize the meritorious teachers teaching in Primary, Middle, and Secondary schools. The aim of the Award is to celebrate the contribution of the teachers and to honor them for their commitment.
