Today, September 4, 2023, marked a significant milestone as Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan officially launched a transformative three-year partnership.

This partnership brings together the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Meta, a leading technology company. This initiative is a proactive step towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of positioning India as the global hub for skilled professionals. It aims to empower Amrit Peedhi- the generation born after India's independence.

During this occasion, three crucial letters of intent (LoI) were exchanged between Meta and prominent institutions: NIESBUD, AICTE, and CBSE. The signing ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Minister of State for Education, Annpurna Devi, and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

He emphasized that the Education to Entrepreneurship partnership is a game-changer. It will democratize digital skilling by reaching the grassroots and fostering the development of the talent pool. Moreover, it will connect students, youth, the workforce, and micro-entrepreneurs with cutting-edge technologies. Ultimately, this initiative aims to transform Amrit Peedhi into a visionary problem solver and entrepreneur.

Minister Pradhan noted that India's democracy, demographic diversity, and technological convergence must be harnessed to make technology an equalizer across society. Guided by the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP), Meta's collaborations with NIESBUD, CBSE, and AICTE hold immense potential. They are poised to equip our population with vital digital skills, empowering micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses.
