The Development Forum, Education Sector of Noklak District of Nagaland, has commenced a mission to deliver quality education to all the students during the pandemic times. The Noklak district is a remote and recently created district of Nagaland. The district does not have an internet connection at a time when education is shifting towards online education.



Reny Wilfred, Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, chaired the meeting held by the forum and resolved to surface an Education Vision Document 2030 for the district keeping in the progressive outlook of NEP (New Education Policy). The final draft of the document is contemplated to be finished by September end and will be made accessible to the public and experts from the education field for their opinions.



The first Deputy Commissioner of the district Wilfred is proceeding towards the initiative. To upgrade the quality of education in the area, the forum debated the 'District vision document for quality education for all'.



The objective is to have 100 percent pass percentage in Class 10 & 12 of government schools and to improve the quality of the education at the grass-root level having focus on preschool & preliminary education to set base. The discussion was also about incorporating fundamental life skills at the school level, incorporating Anganwadi, Sakhi One Stop Centre, Village health Nutrition Day, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Nehru Yuva Kendra along with education to boost nutrition, health, and hygiene among children and their parents.
