National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) informed that according to a survey on mental health and well-being of students, more than 33 percent comply with peer pressure most of the time. The survey says that at least 73 percent of students are happy and satisfied with their school life, while over 45 percent of students are not satisfied with their body image.

The Manodarpan Cell of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) launched the mission of performing the survey to help apprehend the attention and attitude of school students on factors related to their mental health and well-being.

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) informed that according to a survey on mental health and well-being of students, more than 33 percent comply with peer pressure most of the time. The survey says that at least 73 percent of students are happy and satisfied with their school life, while over 45 percent of students are not satisfied with their body image.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) surveyed more than 3.79 lakh students from 36 states and Union Territories.
The Manodarpan Cell of the NCERT undertook the assignment of conducting the survey in order to help understand or comprehend the perceptions of school students on elements related to their mental health and well-being. It gathered information and knowledge from students across gender and grades: mid-state (6-8) and secondary stage (9 to 12) between January to March 2022.
NCERT stated that the anonymity of the survey participants was assured by making the name column optional, allowing students to have privacy, comfort, and independence in the response.
