The free online classes have started by the Maharashtra Education Department for Class 11 or FYJC students to prevent their loss of academic session due to the corona pandemic. For the classes started on YouTube, more than 60,000 students have registered, as reported by the Director of SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training).

The decision to schedule free of cost online classes was taken to prevent the loss of the students and the classes are being conducted for the Science, Commerce, and Arts students.

Dinkar Patil, Director of SCERT, further added, "To avoid the academic loss, we decided to start free online classes for Arts, Science, Commerce students through YouTube".

The admission procedure for the FYJC is suspended for the time being. Earlier, the suspension was implemented due to the corona outbreak but later on, the Maratha quota issue caused the continuation of the suspension, as notified by the officials.

The registration process for FYJC's free online class is still open.
