On Tuesday, the Mizoram Government announced that the full scholarships including coaching fee will be provided to candidates who aspire to join Civil and Central services.

Zoramthanga, Chief Minister of Mizoram, announced in a meeting that the state govt. has taken the decision to work with the Delhi's esteemed coaching institutes to assist aspirants in preparation for the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams and other central government exams.

The meeting was attended by officials of various departments such as Labour Employment, Education, Planning and Finance, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Mizoram Youth Commission.

The full scholarship includes all the expenses sustained while attending coaching classes in Delhi, and cash incentives to qualify Prelims and Mains exams.

The aspirants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam and the eligibility criteria regarding the same will be announced soon.

The Mizoram Govt., with this initiative, aims to motivate youths to participate in central services and compete with students of other states as the number of Mizoram youths joining central services is slowly declining.

The Govt. has also made efforts to assist students join corporate and commercial banks through MYC. The Govt. has also awarded incentives to students who cleared various exams such as UPSC, NDA, SSC and State Services.
