The Goa Education Department has banned the students from driving two-wheelers to school, as notified by the order. The Director of Education Santosh Amonkar informed that the students have been banned due to the complaints of reckless driving.

Amonkar, in his order, said, "It is informed that many students are seen using two wheelers and riding in a reckless manner violating traffic rules".

Amonkar has also requested heads of all educational institutions to address the matter of student's reckless driving with their respective Parents Teachers Association and also directed them to make sure that no student drives two-wheeler to the school premises.

The order also states, "It is once again enjoined upon all heads of institutions to address this issues in PTA meeting and ensure that no students will drive two wheelers to the schools".
