Google has signed an MoU with the Telangana govt to benefit the digital economy of the youth and women entrepreneurs across the state. Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Country Head and Vice President of Google India Sanjay Gupta.

Rama Rao, while thanking Google for their support, also tweeted, "A 3.3 million sq ft energy-efficient campus built with sustainability will stand as a landmark for Hyderabad for decades to come".

Under the new initiative, Google and the state government will collaborate with the government's various departments to grant scholarships for Google Career Certificates to the state's youth, and support entrepreneurs and women through digital, financial, and business, skills training.

Through this initiative, the govt will also strengthen the school's modernization efforts with digital learning and teaching tools and solutions.

The US-based company, as part of the joint practice, will also support the efforts of the state government to upgrade public transportation and the application of digital technologies in agriculture.

Sanjay Gupta, in collaboration with the state government, said, "We are pleased to strengthen our association to support and accelerate the efforts of the Telangana government to help youth learn the right skills for employment, support women entrepreneurs with digital skills, and modernize schools for children".
