The GPSC (Goa Public Service Commission) has released a statement that the screening exam, prior to the CBRT (Computer-Based Recruitment Test) will be conducted on November 21 and November 22, 2020, for JSO (Junior Scale Officer) posts.

Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on March 29 but got postponed due to the pandemic outbreak. Jose Manuel Noronha, GPSC chairman, notified, "In order to expedite the recruitment, the commission has decided to conduct a screening exam on November 21 and 22 to determine candidates qualified to take the main CBRT".

Around 3600 applications have been received by the commission for the 22 JSO posts advertised in January. The commission has introduced the screening examination prior to the CBRT, keeping in mind the pandemic and social distancing norms.

The chairman also added that the candidates who couldn't qualify the exam in the first attempt can reappear for the exam on November 28, provided that the candidates must have scored 05% less than the minimum required marks.
