Himachal Pradesh Govt Approved Early Childhood Care & Education Tutor Scheme under NEP 2020
On Thursday, the Himachal Pradesh government approved the Early Childhood Care and Education Tutor Scheme-2022 for children aged three-six in government primary schools under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

On Thursday, the Himachal Pradesh government approved the Early Childhood Care and Education Tutor Scheme-2022 for children aged three-six in government primary schools under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). The judgment was taken during the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
He stated the scheme envisions appropriate care and provocation of the brain in the earlier years to provide healthy brain development and growth. After the meeting, one of the officials added special attention and priority would be provided to districts and locations that are specifically socio-economically disadvantaged.
The cabinet authorized the policy for employing pre-primary teachers. The official stated that the education department will frame the rules for their recruitment and till the time the rules are finalised, tutors will be employed on an outsourcing basis via the HPSEDC.
The department will prepare bridge courses for nominees who have accomplished a one-year diploma in nursery teacher education, pre-school education, or early childhood education programme in order to make them eligible for the scheme. Such tutors would be paid a sum of Rs 9,000 per month.
The cabinet also approved to start science classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools Tulah and Gharan in Mandi. It also authorized the creation and filling up of requisite posts.
It also endorsed the regularisation of services of water carriers in the Education Department who have put in 11 years of services as part-time water carriers and daily wagers on March 31, 2022, & September 30, 2022.
