The Uttar Pradesh Govt has commenced the registration process for 'Free Laptop Scheme 2021'. The UP Govt has started the initiative for meritorious and disadvantaged students.

This Uttar Pradesh Free Laptop Yojana 2021 scheme has been launched for the students of Class 10 and Class 12. Under the initiative, the state government will distribute the laptops to over 20 lakh youths.

The aim of the initiative is to support disadvantaged and meritorious students who get admission to eminent colleges but are unable to buy laptops due to the lack of money as digital education has become a necessity for the active learning process. Through the scheme, the Govt is primarily focused to provide quality education to students to raise their productivity for higher education.

The Govt also informed that the laptops distributed under the Yogi Free Laptop Scheme will be equipped with the latest features, RAM, and Processor.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully as the scheme of free distribution of laptops is for the students of the UP-state board education. The students who have passed the Class 12 exams from the state board can apply under the scheme. The interested students must have scored 65% in Class 12 exams.

The students who have enrolled in colleges can also apply, but they must produce Class 12 results whenever asked.

The eligible students who are interested can apply online through the state govt's portal at upcmo.up.nic.in.
