IIT Bombay's Scheme To Instruct Innovators And Start-ups Post COVID-19

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the central government has launched a scheme to instruct start-ups and innovators who can present technological conclusions for the issues arising in a post-pandemic world.



The scheme has been launched by MEITYto promote innovations in the stream of education, healthcare, medtech, digital health, 3d printing, fintech and online work from home.



The applications are invited by the central government for the scheme SASACT (Scheme for Accelerating Startups around Post COVID Technology Opportunities) to retort to the post-pandemic environment.



As per the issued notification, the scheme will be supporting a total of 40 to 50 proposals. a worthy start-up can benefit Rs. 40 lakh for the proposed idea/ solution. The grants will be allocated in two proportions in a phased manner on the basis of the designated points which will be decided at the time of approval. A fund of Rs. 9.6 crore has been decided by MEITY under SASACT scheme.
