The Jharkhand Govt will collaborate with the British High Commission's Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), New Delhi to offer 'Chevening Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarships'. Under the initiative, the scholarship will be granted to 5 meritorious scholars belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, and other minority categories in the state.

Through this step, the state govt, along with the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship, aims to provide opportunities for the state's young generation to pursue quality higher education from top UK universities.

In this regard, both the parties will sign the Memorandum of Understanding on Aug 23. Under the Chevening Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarship, a maximum of 05 scholars will be selected every year.

Under this initiative, the scholars will be granted academic tuition fees including thesis and examination costs, a monthly stipend to cover the student's living costs, an allowance package, and return air tickets to the approved destination from the residence place. The scholarship will be granted to pursue a 01-year Master's degree at the UK's esteemed universities. Interested applicants must also have two years of work or equivalent experience to apply for the scholarship.

This Scholarship program will commence in the UK academic year of 2023-24 and will continue for the duration of the 03-year period.

The registration process for the prestigious Chevening Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarship has started and will continue till Nov 01, 2022.
