Jharkhand Govt to Deliver Education to 9 Lakh Adolescent Girls

On January 3, 2023, the Jharkhand Government announced its plan to facilitate the education of 9 lakh adolescent girls in Jharkhand under the SPKSY- Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana.



According to the welfare programme, this step was taken by the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in October 2022 from Giridih with the Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign- a programme to avail the advantages of different government schemes smoothly accessible to the villagers.



The Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is a measure of the state government to provide quality education to adolescent girls. This step has been considered a powerful action toward women's empowerment and gender justice. A public statement by the state government expresses that about 9 lakh adolescent girls in the state are to be covered by this project.



Apki Yojana Campaign by Jharkhand Government



The campaign- Apki Yojana, went well for about a month as about three lakh adolescent girls were linked to the scheme. According to the media reports, the programme was executed at the completion of three years of the government. Moreover, the CM transferred a total amount of Rs 219 crores to accounts of up to 5.52 lakh adolescent girls.
