Dr CN Ashwatha Narayana, the Higher Education Minister of Karnataka, has directed the officials to conduct special training for the students about filing an application form for professional programmes.

The Minister has instructed the Director of the Department of Pre-University Education to schedule special training for the students at their respective college levels. Under the initiative, the students will be trained about filling in the application forms for CET/ JEE/ NEET through GET SET GO in an appropriate manner.

Several students who wish to take admission for Medical, Engineering, and other Professional programmes through examinations conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) make mistakes while filling in application columns such as Name, Category, Date of Birth, Annual Income, Course Selection, etc. informed Narayana. etc. Due to these mistakes, sometimes eligible students lose opportunities.

To avoid such errors and consequently increase the chances of eligibility, the Govt has started the initiative to conduct the training, he added.

The Minister also suggested bringing awareness among students through websites, newspaper advertisements, and social media.
