The Karnataka High Court will commence the hearing on the Hijab issue today at 02:30 pm. The hearing will continue regarding the petition on denying permission to wear Hijab to classrooms.

Justice Krishna S Dixit, during the previous hearing, also urged the student community to maintain peace and order in the state.

Earlier, the state government, amid violence and tension at educational institutions across the state, ordered the closure of schools/ colleges for 03 days. The state CM Basavaraj Bommai has also requested the students to wait until the court order. He also urged students to not get provoked.

On Tuesday, the Bench also appealed to the counsel to present their arguments briefly. Justice Dixit also talked about the court's confidence in the discretionary power of the students and the public.
