The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) funded the new school buildings and tinkering laboratories- a corporate financial institution put up by the Kerela government for monitoring, approving, and funding major infrastructure projects, including public-private-partnership (PPP) projects.

450 schools get face-lift

The Kerala General Education Department said the new school buildings and tinkering labs were constructed and set up with a budget of Rs 182 crore. Kerala general education minister V Sivankutty also attended the inauguration event.

The state had earlier declared that it would be spending Rs 1,031.92 crore for programmes under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States (STARS) programme for the academic year 2023-2024.
