erala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman has introduced the 'Goal project' initiative to offer basic football training. Under this initiative, the Govt will provide training to 05 lakh students across the state.



The initiative is a special programme jointly being conducted by the Sports Council and the State Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. The Sports Directorate said, "In the first phase, one lakh students will be given training for 10 days at 1,000 centres".



The minister said As part of the initiative, the top 100 students who excel in this basic training, will be offered international-level training by international coaches, notified the ministers. Mohammed Sahal, the player of Kerala Blasters, was also present during the event.



Sahal said, "This project was essential for the growth of football in the state".
