The edtech arm of the Kerala state govt, the KITE (Kerala Infrastructure & Technology for Education) will set up Robotic Labs across 2000 schools in Kerala. This initiative aims to benefit 1.2 million school children.



The Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty informed that this initiative will facilitate innovative ways to enhance the students' knowledge skills through fun learning. The Chief Minister of state Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the 9000 robotic Labs through the largest ICT network of students in India i.e. Little KITEs on Dec 08.



The Minister also added, "Robotics is an important training component under the Little KITES programme, through which students in public schools would get an opportunity to get hands-on training in the latest technology areas such as robotics, IoT, and artificial intelligence". He further added that this programme would help in enhancing the problem-solving and creative thinking ability of students to help them in learning.



The Chief Executive Officer of KITE K Anvar Sadath informed that each robotic kit deployed across schools comprises of LEDs, Arduino Uno Rev3, IR Sencor Module, LDR Light Sensor Module, Active Buzzor Module, Bread Button, Push Button, Resistors, and Jumper Wires.



Furthermore, other than the robotic kit's deployment, a total of 4000 KITE Masters will also be trained with the help of special training module regarding the usage of these equipments in schools.
