Jitendra Singh, Union Minister, informed that Ladakh will now have exam centres to conduct the Common Eligibility Test and Civil Services Examination. The exam centres will be for central government recruitment for the benefit of aspirants.

Mr. Singh, while inaugurating a 02-day workshop for Ladakh officials on capacity building at Leh, added that targets and goals lay down by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for UT Ladakh would be encountered. The aim is to make Ladakh one of the best UTs across the country.

The Govt took the historic decision on Aug 05, 2019, regarding carving two new Union territories which will produce new probabilities, said Singh who is also the Minister of State for Personnel.

For the benefit of the candidates, Ladakh will have its own exam centre to conduct civil services exams. The centre which will be set up at Leh will become functional, he added.
