The Maharashtra Govt has informed that there will be no CET (Common Entrance Test) for Non-Professional Programmes. The Govt will not conduct any entrance test and admission into Arts, Commerce, and Science colleges will be done on the basis of Class 12 scores.

For the Engineering programme, the CET will be conducted in 02 sessions from Sept 04 to Sept 20, 2021. The 1st session will be conducted from Sept 04 to Sept 10 and the 2nd session from Sept 14 to Sept 20, 2021.

Uday Samant, Minister for Higher and Technical Education, informed that the universities have been directed to send proposals to enhance divisions in colleges since the number of students who have passed Class 12 exams has also increased.

He added that the govt was receiving several requests to not conduct CET for non-professional courses.

The Common Entrance Test for admission into Computer Science, Management, Hotel Management, and Architecture programmes will be held from Aug 26, informed Samant.

Minister also added that the govt will notify within 08 days regarding the reopening of colleges.
