As the Taliban authority banned university education for girls, the male students in the country have boycotted their classes, criticizing the suspension of higher education for women. The male Afghanistan students have put a powerful opposition to attending classes until they are again open for female students as well.

A student over the Taliban's ban on women's education in the country, Muzamel, said we would continue our boycott. If the female classes are not reopened, we will also boycott our lessons and not resume education.

Another male Afghan student, Nawidullah said universities are closed for our sisters. We don't want to go to university either. Furthermore, multiple lecturers at Kabul University also called out the Taliban to rethink their decision, saying the closure of educational universities is unfortunate.

A lecturer Tawfiqullah said we ask the Islamic Emirate to reopen universities for our sisters.

Another student said, my two sisters are also seeking higher education, but due to the closure of institutes, I will not continue as well.

Earlier in December, Afghanistan's Ministry of Higher Education suspended higher education for females. The decision led to widespread protests, rallies, and global condemnation.

Since 15 August 2021, the authorities have banned girls from attending secondary school, restricted women and girls' freedom of movement, banned women from most places of the workforce, and banned women from using parks, public bathhouses, and gyms.

These conditions culminate in the imprisonment of Afghan women and girls to the four walls of their houses.
