Microsoft has launched a 'Cybersecurity Skilling Program' today to manage the skills gap and empower the workforce of India for the cybersecurity profession. The aim of this first-of-its-kind program is to skill more than 01 lakh learners by 2022.



The program has been formulated to provide hands-on experience to the learners in the fundamentals of security, identity, and compliance.



Microsoft will oversee the course along with its strategic consortium of partners including Koenig, Cloudthat, Synergetics Learning, and RPS.



The module of the course is designed to support all levels of candidates, regardless of their cybersecurity knowledge.



Microsoft has also introduced 04 new security, compliance, and identity certifications. Under the training, the accredited certification for Fundamentals will be granted free of cost to every individual who attends the associated training.



Furthermore, Microsoft, in association with its partners, also offers learners discounted offers on the remaining advanced role-based certifications.



The President of Microsoft India Anant Maheshwari said, "Microsoft is deeply committed to democratizing skilling for all and this program is a strong step in making cybersecurity skilling accessible and affordable for all".
