On Friday, September 16, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that due to the high-quality education provided in Delhi government schools, 1,141 students cleared JEE and NEET exams.

While speaking at an event organized to congratulate the toppers of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) at Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi, Mr. Kejriwal stated that more than 1,000 students cleared JEE and NEET exams this year.

Felicitating the students, Mr. Kejriwal said 18 crore children study in government schools across the nation, and most of the students belong to poor states.

He stated that these government schools can be enhanced the way we did it in Delhi. We offered quality education to students, and because of that, 1,141 students of our government schools successfully cleared JEE and NEET exams.

Arvind Kejriwal said- earlier that discernment was created that governments cannot run schools, and such schools should be passed over to private players or handled via Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He added that education is not a matter of charity but a matter of right. The poverty of our country can be eliminated if we provide good education to every child.

In the end, the chief minister congratulated 28 students who secured ranks in the top 1,000 in JEE and NEET exams.
