Nagaland Will be the First State to Establish a Medical College in 60 years

Nagaland has won approval to establish its first medical college since becoming a province in 1963, Health and Family Affairs Minister P. Paiwang Konyak said Wednesday. The medical school will start with 100 of his MBBS students in the 2023-24 academic year. "On Tuesday, he received approval for his MBBS medical college for 100 seats from the National Medical Commission, Medical Evaluation and Review Board (NMC, MARB)," Konyak said at a press conference.

According to him, the MARB state government expects to send out admission letters within a week that can issue admission letters for the 2023/24 school year.
