The decision to set up a National Recruitment Agency has been approved by the Union Cabinet which will be a huge advantage for job contenders. The Agency will conduct a Common Eligibility Test for the applicants who desire to apply for the different sectors in the country. The announcement has been made by Mr. Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

C Chandramouli, the Secretary, said, "Although we are taking exams of only three common agencies as of now, in course of time we will be able to have one Common Eligibility Test for all recruitment agencies in the country". Currently, there are more than 20 recruitment representatives under the Central Government.

The aim of the NRA is to bring reformation in the recruitment procedure by providing one single platform for the younger generation seeking central government jobs.
