NCERT's National Assessment Survey To Evaluate Students' Learning Skills

The National Council of Educational Research and Training will organize a National Assessment Survey for govt and private schools. Through the Survey, the Council will evaluate the learning skill of the students.
The Survey will cover more than 700 districts and lakhs of children across the nation.
The aim of the Survey will be to find out the learning skills of the students and issues in the curriculum that need to be addressed accordingly post COVID pandemic.
The Survey will assess the learning capability of the students in Science, Maths, and EVS, among others.
Earlier, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced to conduct a survey in Nov 2021 to evaluate the children's learning skills.
The NCERT conducts the National Sample Survey (NSS) for students of Class 03, Class 05, Class 08, and Class 10 to make the assessment. On Nov 13, 2017, the NSS was held for the students of Class 03, Class 05, and Class 08 covering more than 22 lakhs students. For Class 10, the NSS was conducted on Feb 05, 2018.
The NCERT will also provide counselling for the mental health concerns of the students in the schools reopened post-COVID. The officials and experts of the NCERT will connect online with the students to help and support them in dealing with their mental and social concerns.
The NCERT will also interact with students from Class 06 to Class 11 through online channels. The Class 06 to Class 11 students can connect with NCERT through PM eVidya DTH TV Channel and NCERT's official YouTube Channel.
