The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2021 will be conducted only once this year. The announcement has been made by the Director-General of National Testing Agency Vineet Joshi.

The NTA has also informed that the date of the examination will be released soon. After the release of the application forms, the candidates will be able to apply in online mode from the official website at ntaneet.nic.in.

Earlier, it was reported that the medical entrance examination conducted for admission into medical and dental programmes will be held twice this year but the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare was in disagreement with the proposal suggested by the Ministry of Education.

Each year, NTA (National testing Agency) conducts NEET-UG for admission into undergraduate medical programmes. NEET-UG is the only entrance exam conducted for admission into medical colleges across the country.

Last year, more than 15 lakh students appeared for the entrance examination.
