On August 18, terming the National Education Policy (NEP) a knowledgeable document, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pardhan stated that NEP 2020 aims to make education extra accessible to everyone.

Dharmendra Pradhan was present at the session by industry body ASSOCHAM. During the session, he stated that the Centre is looking forward to expanding the enrollment of students at the primary level and ensuring they continue their education. He added that NEP 2020 is the future of India's education from primary to higher education levels. It aims at promoting the overall development of an individual. It aims to make education accessible to everyone in the country.

Pradhan also expressed that India has become the epicenter of a knowledge-based economy. He said that India's academic fraternities have a massive role to play in ensuring a rightful place for India to become a global leader. The National Education Policy 2020 is a path towards it, he added.

Union Education Minister mentioned an example of a country's achievement during the challenging times of pandemic. He commented that when the covid-19 pandemic began, India did not produce PPE (Personal protective equipment) in bulk, but in two years, India has become one of the leading PPE exporters in the world.
